The Scoundrel & Scamp’s 24/7 Play Festival is a celebration of the creative process!

On Friday, August 14 at 8:00 PM, seven playwrights receive a shared prompt and cast assignment, then have until 4:00 AM to write an original 10-minute play.

At 7:30 AM on Saturday, August 15, seven directors and 24 actors arrive to discover their scripts and begin rehearsals. After a whirlwind day of rehearsing and technical preparation, all seven plays will be performed at 7:00 PM and again at 9:00 PM.

The festival concludes with a mini awards ceremony honoring audience and artist favorites.

Red Herring Puppets’ The Friendly Chupacabra/ El Chupacabra Amable is the third show in the collection of bilingual folktales based on stories from Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
